Kejriwal govt installs hot water, mobile charging facilities at protest venues

Chandigarh, Dec 11 (UNI) At a time when the farmers were fighting against the Narendra Modi government at the Centre to save their livelihood, the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi on Friday pitched in to extend hot water and mobile charging facilities to the farmers at the protesting sites.
The agitators, fighting a battle of survival and sustenance on the Delhi-Haryana borders for more than 15 days, were facing hardships due to the non-availability of hot water for bathing in the cold weather and lack of mobile charging facilities.
According to the state unit of Aam Aadmi Party, the Delhi Jal Board and the Kejriwal government in Delhi provided hot water to the peasants at the protest venues. The government provided gas furnaces to the agitating farmers at the Singhu border.
The ryots have been agitating against the dictatorial government at the Centre against the black laws, sitting away from their families, but the hamstrung dispensation is unmoved.
Necessary steps have been taken by the Kejriwal government in Delhi to provide them with mobile charging facilities. A special point with more than 100 charging stations has been set up, where farmers could charge their mobile phones.
AAP has been supporting the farmers ever since they started their big fight against the three farm laws, said the statement, adding that the Kejriwal government in Delhi had been providing necessary facilities, including langar, ambulance, health services, mobile toilets and clean drinking water to the farmers.
AAP's national convener Arvind Kejriwal, ministers, MLAs, volunteers have been serving the farmers as their 'sewadars,' it said.
